COVID-19 update

With the current situation with coronavirus it is currently not possible to proceed with adoptions or for dogs to be transported from Romania to the UK for the foreseeable  future. We are still kept busy at the rescue with many beautiful dogs and new intakes as rescue doesn't stop even with a world crisis.

Some of our Lonely hearts

Bob - fostered in South Norfolk

Bob is a 20 month old mix breed dog. You may have noticed him on our website for a while now. He has recently moved to Norfolk in foster for a change of location and reassessment. He will be once again looking for a home soon but please do check out his personal facebook or instagram account - 'Bob the Rommie Rascal' to see how he's getting on in his new foster home.

Dodo is around 10 years old. He is a medium sized dog who was rescued from a public shelter and not much is known about his past. He has been a friendly, affectionate boy with us and there's definitely a lot of life left in him.

Roe fostered in Bolton

Roe fostered in Bolton

This is Roe. He is a handsome boy who has been living in the UK since summer 2018.

He is the happiest dog you will ever meet and LOVES food. Due to an injury roe can't run and jump about how he would like but that doesn't stop him having fun with a toy or his Kong or enjoying a leisurely walk and explore in the woods. He also loves a good sunbathe and to roll around in a field.

He loves to play gentle tug and loves emptying the toy box by bringing you all his toys to sit on your knee.

Roe has been in his current foster home for 7 months so we need to make sure this special boy gets the best home.

Children over 10 and a cat free home would be best although he does live with very dog wise cats at the moment. Introductions to another dog could be done. 🙂

Can you offer this boy a place in your heart and home? ❤️ 🏠 🐾

Asha - Now in Germany

Dexter - fostered in Knighton

Dexter - fostered in Knighton

Asha is a 4 year old  female dog. We rescued her recently from a spay campaign in the village. She was very skinny and we didn't have the heart to put her out on the streets. She adores her food. She has been living with other dogs. She can be a little shy initially unless you have treats! Then it doesn't take her long to get used to you.

Dexter - fostered in Knighton

Dexter is a 2 year old corgi cross fostered in South-West Shropshire.  Currently fostered with a mixture of other dogs, he gets on well with all of them. He's a handsome, angelic-looking fluffy golden boy with a cheeky smile.

Dex enjoys cuddles,  is house trained, great on the lead, recall etc: an all-round good boy - but isn’t so keen on strangers visiting the home so this is something that will have to be managed. Dexter would suit an adult home with other dogs, possibly as an only dog.

His adopter/s  will need to have an understanding of his fear of incursions on his home. Rescue dog experience ideally.

Esme - currently in Romania

Dexter - fostered in Knighton

Esme - currently in Romania

Esme is a 4 year old small-medium pekingese/spaniel mix. Esme was rescued with her mother. They spent their life kept in a yard. Esme can be shy with strangers but once you've spent a little time with her and earn her trust she is the most loving, cuddly, playful little girl. She loves her toys and playing with other dogs.

Jane - adopted

Margot - adopted

Margot - adopted

Jane is 18 months to 1 year old. She was taken from a man who kept her chained and fed on corn. Despite not having the best start in life she’s an extremely sweet dog. She can be a little shy with strangers but has a gentle soul. She mixes well with other dogs and cats. Jane would be happiest in an adult home.

Barney - fostered in Germany

Finn is a 5-6 month old male puppy who we rescued with his mum and siblings back in December. He is a friendly little boy. He is a typical pup but hasn't had the opportunity to explore the world yet so it's important an adopter has the time to do this. We do hope he can leave our sanctuary so

Barney is a 5-6 month old male puppy who we rescued with his mum and siblings back in December. He is a friendly little boy and will wag his tail to come to say hi but doesn't want to be stroked. He will need an adopter who can spend the 121 time with him to build his confidence and go at a steady pace.

He hasn't had the opportunity to explore the world yet so it's important an adopter has the time to do this. We do hope he can leave our sanctuary soon.

Raven  is an 8 month old lab cross pointer boy. He wasn’t a street dog, he had a family during his life but got poorly and we stepped in and took over his care. He is friendly and up until recently was living in a home but now with us at the sanctuary.
