Bob is an 11 month old pup currently fostered in Knighton. His breed mix possibly Jack Russell x Collie, he will be a medium sized adult dog (not more than 15kg). He is a gorgeous, lively boy, full of intelligence and personality. He LOVES to play - with other dogs, toys and humans too. He would be happiest adopted with another youngish playful dog.
Bob is highly motivated by food and can be trained with normal dog food, let alone treats. He has the potential to be a very well behaved boy; now what he needs is someone who can put the time in with him. He would be fabulous at agility. Shy with strangers at first, he soon comes round and is OK with older, dog-savvy older children, and cats too. He walks nicely on-lead and recalls well.
Freddie is a 1 year neutered male who’s currently fostered in Norfolk. As to what his breed mix he is then this might surprise you. He had a DNA test and it came back 12.5% White Swiss Shepherd, 12.5% Labrador, 12.5% Yorkshire Terrier and 62.5% breed groups - terrier, sporting and herding. So as you can see quite an interesting mix and we do love a good mongrel! Freddie was found as a pup abandoned in Romania so not much is known about his early life. He’s currently fostered with a mixture of other dogs and a cat who he’s getting on very well with. He is very playful with the cat and did have to be managed in the beginning. The cat is confident, playful and not scared of dogs so they have become friends. If he was to be homed with a cat it would very much depend on the cat and also how things are managed. Freddie is a very intelligent young boy with bags of potential. He’s eager to learn, playful and responds well to 121 training. He does have some underlying fears due to his start in life not knowing exactly where he came from and no doubt lacked crucial socialisation. He can be wary of strangers if they try and interact with him too soon. He is more wary of men than women. He is responding really well to the 121 training his fosterer is giving him and it is important that this would be continued in his new home. With this training and confidence building I have no doubts he has a bright future ahead of him. Whoever adopts this boy will be extremely lucky, he truly is one of a kind and you can’t help but fall in love with him.
Roe is a 17 month old neutered male who’s currently in Norfolk. He’s been in the UK since a young pup so is very much used to life here. He was originally found abandoned as a small pup with the rest of his litter. He has been living with other dogs and would happily live with them but could also perhaps be adopted as an only dog too. He has been around children of various ages throughout his life but feel he would be best in a home with adults or teenagers rather than small children. He’s playful and can be very loving. He can initially be wary of strangers visiting the home but soon gets used to them. Day to day Roe would benefit from a quiet family home but has spent trips away in a caravan which he enjoyed and has started agility training. He would benefit from 121 positive training and is looking for an adopter who will provide this. Please enquire for more information.
Sebastian is a 1 year old labrador cross. He was rescued as a small pup from Odai public shelter. He has a very gentle nature and can be shy at first but once you've spent a little time with him he is so cuddly and loving.
He is quick to learn and picks up commands in no time. He's looking for a committed family who will have the time and patience to build up his confidence. He would do well in a home with an adult confident dog that he can follow the lead from.
Coral is a 2 year old small female dog weighing 9kg. Coral and her mother were found roaming around outside our shelter clearly having been abandoned. They were very sweet and friendly from the start and they both definitely deserve happy lives. Coral is looking for a forever family who’ll have the time to settle her in to a home environment.
Summer is around 3 years old and is a small - medium female dog of around 12kg. Summer and her daughter were found outside our shelter in Romania clearly having been abandoned. Summer has a lovely nature and is a sweet girl. She’d suit many types of families.
Bobby is a 5 year old Pekingese cross. He came to us from another rescuer, with his friend Millie.
Bobby is a real character and you can’t help but smile with him around. He’s a little clown and loves to give you kisses. He’d suit a family with adults/older children. He can happily live with other dogs.
Dexter is a 2 year old corgi cross fostered in Knighton. He is currently fostered with a mixture of other dogs and is getting on well with all of them. He is a sweet boy with golden fur and a cheeky smile. He is doing well in his foster home but isn’t so keen on strangers visiting the home so this is something that will have to be worked on and managed. Dexter would be happiest in a home with at least one other dog, although he has been around children it is best his forever home is an adult one. He will need an adopter who is prepared to work 121 with him and ideally someone who has experience of rescue dogs/Romanian dogs.
Megan is a 17 month old spayed female currently fostered in Bolton. She is a medium sized girl weighing 24kg. She’s currently in foster with her sister (who’s happily adopted) and a cat who’s she’s getting on well with. Megan is currently living with a young boy who she has taken well to. She is a sweet natured, smart, loving dog who hasn’t put a paw wrong so far. She’s been friendly with visitors to the home and has settled well in her foster home. She would benefit from a home with an adopter who has the time to continue her training. She loves attention so we think she could happily cope in a home as an only dog but also with others too.
Leia is a 1 year old small-medium female. We took Leia and her friend Sasha on from one of Claudias neighbours after the spay campaign in the village. They were destined to live their life on a chain fed bread and we couldn’t let that happen. Leia is still definitely pup like and could possibly be a little under a year. She’s playing well with the other dogs at our shelter and once she knows you she’s very sweet. She has settled well but is wary of strangers so does need an adopter with a little experience to help her settle in to a new home. She’d do great in a home with other dogs. We are looking for an adult/teenager only home for Leia and we can cat test her if needed.
Blackie is a 1.5 year old medium sized female.
She was rescued about a year ago from a terrible public shelter which means early experiences have left her cautious with new people. She adores the people she knows, she is very loving and a good kisser :), but will bark at strangers, visitors and won't let any touch her. Otherwise she is fully house trained, walks brilliant on-lead, she is very good off lead too, very playful with dogs and delicate with cats. She just needs an adopter who will understand her needs and not put pressure on her at first.
Once she trusts you, she will love and follow you no matter what
